SUBJECT: INVITATION TO THE CCMA’S MEDIA BRIEFING SCHEDULED FOR 1 APRIL 2021
Following the completion of all consultative engagements with invited social partner/stakeholder/strategic partnership/User institutions, the Director of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Mr. Cameron Morajane, will on Thursday, 01 April 2021, share with the media; as a key stakeholder to the CCMA, pertinent information and key decisions taken as well as offer clarity on misinformation in the public domain. In the main, the Director will provide an update on the following:
• CCMA’s budget allocation for the 2021/22 financial year
• Budget cuts and their impact on CCMA operations
• Challenges that impede CCMA’s ability to deliver efficient and an effective expeditious dispute resolution
• New initiatives aimed at accelerating CCMA’s expeditious dispute resolution and service delivery
• Reinstatement of User walk-ins into CCMA offices
• Utilisation of Part-Time Commissioners
• Feedback from User/Stakeholders/Strategic Partner/Social Partner engagements
