ASSISTANT MANAGER: COLLECTIVE BARGAINING - National Office (Post level:06)

The Collective Bargaining Department has a vacancy of an Assistant Manager: Collective Bargaining.

Purpose

To provide a supporting role at a Strategic and administrative level to the National Senior Commissioner. Collective Bargaining. This will ensure the optimal performance of the department as a whole in meeting its objectives.

Key Performance Areas:-

• Assist in the development and compilation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting templates
• Monitor and check the integrity of monthly regional and organisational reports
• Ensure that all information is accurate and meets the requirements of relevant stakeholders. Oversee the effective coordination and reporting of the department for Governing Body sub-committees and various stakeholders
• Submit reports to various stakeholders in compliance with PFMA and management requirements
• Monitor the availability of funds and expenditure in line with the budget
• Monitor projects and activities aligned to the budget
• Monitor accurate budget variance reporting
• Ensure that Departmental Operational Plans for all units are effectively drafted and implemented
• Oversee progress and reporting on all strategic objectives and departmental operational plans
• Monitor the progress of the projects and activities across all units within the department
• To assist with the compilation and coordination of Governance documents for submissions to the Governing Body sub-committees
• Provide support to the department in monitoring and reporting issues in the labour market affecting and/or impacting on collective bargaining
• To assist with queries regarding accreditation, collective bargaining and employment security.
• Identify and provide support in respect of training requirements for the department
• Oversee data integrity by analysing reports on efficiencies, performance and implementing relevant initiatives to improve performance

• Ensure internal and external stakeholder enquiries are attended to


Key Requirements

• Appropriate Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in Industrial Relations environment • 5 – 10 years Financial Management & Reporting experience
